Life story so far:
Well I have a lot to tell you and no where in particular to start…
I'm a singer/songwriter. I front a band called coldspot and I'm also in a music project called Calan & Cole. I'm a professional audio engineer and music producer, working out of Homestead Recorders in Edmonton for almost 10 years. I love music of all varieties and have a strong connection with independent music. Along with creating soundscapes, photography, video editing and image design have also been an ongoing interest.

I'm a certified advanced open water diver and have just recently been turned on to diving. I'm also a black belt in wado kai karate, though I haven't trained for several years. I love the outdoors, especially skiing and diving.

Favorite things you’ve discovered:
Fatherhood, Scuba Diving, and the island of Utila.

Why diving?
Rob Shields is to blame. I was really not too sure about scuba at first and to say the least I was a bit hesitant. After my first dive I was hooked. I really can't say enough about how I'm captivated by the underwater world. Underwater photography and videography have become another very strong passion.

Good things about diving:
Everything. Even when you have a bad dive its awesome….and I know…I've had a couple of bad dives…

Bad things about diving:
Nothing too serious but seasickness and reverse block in my ears when surfacing. Sometimes you can get sinus congestion and it can put you down for the count if you have been getting proper rest and what not. Oh yeah and the fact that diving is too far away from home.

Why GreatDives.tv?
Give me one good reason why not. GDTV is happening. It's a dream concept from a good friend of mine that has become to come to fruition based on our own labours. It's frickin time to go diving….WHAT are YOU doing?
